Hello all,

I am sorry that I cannot write Estonian.

Currently, 7 Sept. 2013, a long distance balloon is on its way to ESO (Kärdla / Kuressaare).

Contact was lost today, 2013-09-07, 09:39 UTC, near Stockholm: http://spacenear.us/tracker/?filter=B-11

We believe it may be flying over ESO (Kärdla / Kuressaare) on 7 Sept, 23 UTC.

Callsign: B-11
QRG: ~434.5015
DominoEX 16

The decoded telemetry looks like this (example):
Kood:
$$B-11,1990,064649,45.5333,11.5542,9067,6,6,3.U6b0.68*be6a
Any rx logs would be most appreciated!

DominoEX 16 can be decoded using dl-fldigi:

English: http://www.ukhas.org.uk/guides:tracking_guide:english

Hello, all!
Sorry for using English here.

Another two balloons from the UK will soon be close to Estonia – B-16 and B-17.
B-16 transmits DominoEX4 on 13.553 MHz USB, vertical polarisation, 10 mW, details.
B-17 - DominoEX16 on 434.500 MHz USB, vertical polarisation, 10 mW, details.
Short pips every three seconds followed by two lines of telemetry every five minutes.

Prediction puts B-17 in close proximity to Helsinki at around 18 UTC, so it should be above horizon for Estonia, too.
B-16's TX antenna is not the best and it can be received only on short distances. Its path is predicted to go over southern part of Estonia this evening.

If you do hear them, you will need dl-fldigi program to automatically decode the telemetry and upload it to the server. Guide for setting it up – http://www.ukhas.org.uk/guides:tracking_guide:english

Follow their flights on the map – spacenear.us/tracker
Come and join us in IRC on Freenode – #highaltitude chatroom.

Sven DL7AD posted on the UKHAS mailing list a bit different prediction for B-16 – it may as well fly over the middle of Estonia.

If you have the radio equipment for this band (13.553 MHz, USB), please listen out for it.
Any information will be appreciated.

Good morning!
Sven DL7AD has launched his first "pico" balloon from Germany last night – D-1. Currently it is above Latvia and is traveling north-east. See it on the spacenear.us map – http://spacenear.us/tracker/
This time the payload has a 2m transmitter.

Frequency: 145.300 Mhz USB, vertical polarized
Mode: RTTY 50/425 7N2
Power: 10 mW
Transmission Cycle (3-6 min):
Single Beep: Sleep
Double Beep: GPS Acquisition
Triple Beep: Announces Transmission
Info: http://dl7ad.de/balloons/D-1/

Its actual frequency is a bit below 145.3 – somewhere around 145.299 MHz. It is beeping every 5 seconds between the telemetry strings.
As usually - you need dl-fldigi to report the positions to the server.

Keep an eye on B-21 and B-22 on the map (both 434.5 MHz), they might come closer this evening / tomorrow.
Join us on #highaltitude on Freenode for more information if needed.

Good morning, again!
Another picoballoon is heading towards the Baltic states, this time it is B-24 from the UK.
In the next few hours it will fly along the border of Latvia and Lithuania, and it should be above horizon in big part of Estonia too.
It has two transmitters – 434.500 MHz USB, DominoEX16 (use dl-fldigi to decode it and upload to the map) and APRS on the standard 144.8 MHz.

You can see it on the spacenear.us map – http://spacenear.us/tracker/?filter=B-24
Or APRS.fi as M0XER-3 – http://aprs.fi/#!mt=roadmap&z=6&call=a% ... tail=86400
